DAY 1: Kampala/Entebbe – Kibale Forest Park
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning after breakfast and drive you to the western part of the country to Kibale national park via Fort Portal. You will have lunch in Fort Portal and then proceed to the park. On arrival you will go and visit the crater lakes and “Amabeere Ga Nyina Mwiru” at Nyakasura. Dinner and overnight at mountain of the moon/ primate lodge/ Ndali lodge.
DAY 2: Kibale Forest National Park
You will be taken by the guide for a chimpanzee tour in the forest, this hike is a an adventurous one since it takes you to over 15 primate species including red tailed and grey cheek Mangabey, baboons, butterflies and a wide range of bird species. You will have your packed lunch on your way to a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary which is rich in fauna and flora and well known for bird watching. The overnight and dinner at primate lodge/ Ndali lodge/ mountain of the moon.
DAY 3: Kibale Forest Park – Semuliki
Early morning after break fast depart from your lodge and head to Semuliki wildlife reserve. This journey is scenic because it will take you down the eastern side of Lake Albert and down the Wasa Valley to Semuliki Safari lodge. Have a night drive around the park after dinner where you will view several cats, slender mongoose, white tailed mongoose, and diminutive genet. An overnight will at Semliki Safari lodge.
DAY 4: Semuliki National park
You will have a boat trip on Lake Albert after breakfast, and you may see red throated bee eaters dart in and out of their barrows. You will have lunch at the waterfalls where there is a great picnic spot. On your way back to the lodge you will view a number of fishing villages. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: Semuliki National park – Kampala
Track wild chimpanzees in the beautiful rain forest after breakfast, and there after depart for Kampala where you reach late in the evening.
