3 Day Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Kampala – Lake Mburo National park
You will be picked by our guide from your place of residence in Kampala and head to Lake Mburo National Park and have a stop over at the equator and the crafts village for photo shoots and shopping respectively not forgetting visiting the Mpambire traditional drum makers and see how local drums are made. Proceed to the national park and have lunch there. After lunch, you will take a game drive through the park and it will enable you see the water plants and the different animal species like zebras, impalas, elephants and many others. Dinner and night at Mantana tented/ Mihingo / Rwonyo camp. The sound of the African wilderness can be heard from where you are staying.
DAY 2: Lake Mburo National park
Rise early in the morning to see the abundant species of birds and may be able to also see the nocturnal animals that have not turned in for the day. Some mammals may also be viewed. After that you will go for breakfast at the lodge and also relax abit. You could take a nature walk within Rubanga forest where there are trails along the forest on foot with armed guides. Get back to the camp for lunch and then take a boat ride on the lake where most of the water reptiles like crocodiles are seen at the shore. This will give you satisfaction after viewing the ravishing scenery of the lake and its creatures.
You will then return to the lodge for dinner and spend the night there.
DAY 3: Lake Mburo – Kampala
After breakfast, take a nature walk through the park and take a walk to the salt lick area which offers you a chance to see at least four different species of animals that may be licking the salty soil. You may also visit the Nkokonjeru tombs for the last two kings of Ankole and also get to see the long horned cattle for the Ankole people and then start your journey back to Kampala.
